The rider's input into the handlebars is transfered to the forks and front wheel through the triple clamp.
It is critical that bearings move gracefully in their races, and nothing prevents smooth movement in the steering head. By machining the triple clamp from solid aluminum, BMS has guaranteed a precise and controlled movement in the steering head.
Cast triple clamps have play in them and this inprecision in manufacturing causes slight to severe headshake creating uneven wear and poor handling. The billet aluminum triple clamps are just one more reason why BMS bikes handle better, stay in tune and last longer.
Again the superior performance of billet aluminum is the reason you will find the the clip-on that holds the handle bar onto the forks is made of billet aluminum.
The last thing you want to have happen is to have a clip-on break from metal fatigue or a simple low speed crash. In the unfortunate circumstance that something does break, the BMS two piece design allows for quick single piece replacement, reducing down time and repair cost.
Some bike manufacturers have one piece cast handle bars. The adjustable two piece design used by BMS allows full adjustment of the bar placement; height, angle, length. This gives the rider complete comfort and reduces upper body fatigue.
